To debate the reality of the revolutionary process in Nicaragua and Latin America, you are invited to attend

THE II EUROPEAN MEETING IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE SANDINISTA REVOLUTION – ROME 2014

Now more than ever, we must strengthen the work of solidarity and internationalism with the peoples of Latin America committed to overcome poverty and colonialism, which continues to threaten throughout the subcontinent. Nicaragua, as well as all the Alba countries, are carrying out this task and are faithful to continue the revolutionary process in Latin American and the achievements of the Sandinista Revolution.

Over the years, the solidarity campaigns, twin town organisations,  structures, political organisations and social movements in Europe, have played a significant role in supporting that path of liberation and we believe is time to upsurge, renew, reactivate and revitalise our commitment with a continental perspective.

We call on all individuals, organizations, associations, trade unions, political parties, alternative mass media organizations in Europe, involved in the solidarity work with Nicaragua and Latin America, to participate in this meeting and actively discuss over the objectives and proposals of the summit that will take place in Rome, Italy, kindly hosted by the Italy-Nicaragua Association

OBJECTIVES OF THE MEETING

To reactivate solidarity organisations with the RPS in Europe.

To strengthen mutual relations, exchange information, promote, coordinate and concrete actions with other networks of solidarity with the peoples of the Americas.

To agree a European Solidarity Campaign with the Sandinista Revolution, developing a common action plan prioritazing four areas:
Continental: To expand our look and make it more continental:  Nicaragua, the Bolivarian Revolution, Alba, and all the progressive processes occurring in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Media: To confront and respond to the hostility media against Nicaragua, the Sandinista Revolution and the progressive movements of America.

Local Governments: To activate and coordinate the cooperation and solidarity of the twin town organisations and municipalities in Europe with the Nicaraguan municipalities.
